Have you ever had problems to connect several master devices in a Modbus RTU network or just to synchronize RS485 lines with different baud rates ? Serial Master Multiplexer SMM-01 is created particularly for this purpose. It connects 2 master devices with a slave device over a RS485 or RS232 line and synchronizes the requests in such a way that avoids all possible collisions.

 

     For each one of the 3 serial ports of the device can be adjusted different parameters (baud rate, parity, timeout). Therefore SMM-01 can be suitable even as a simple synchronization device between networks, working at different baud rates. There is a galvanic isolation between inputs, output and the 24 VDC power supply. There are corresponding LEDs for each port, indicating its state (transmitting or receiving).
